Defining and Evaluating Cell–Cell Relation Extraction from Biomedical Literature under Realistic Annotation Constraints

Established cell–cell relation extraction as a new biomedical text mining task and developed the first benchmark corpora for its systematic evaluation. Through comprehensive experiments, demonstrated the feasibility of literature-scale extraction of cell–cell relationships and provided a foundation for future studies of intercellular communication using biomedical literature.
